DECS Services
DECS currently has eight live services running and more services are being developed to meet future needs and requirements.
Purchase to Payment (P2P)
P2P provides an electronic purchasing system for the DLO and Defence Bills Agency. To find out more about the P2P Service click on the P2P tab in the navigation menu to the left of this page.
DECS Collaboration Programme (DCP)
DCP is a set of services, available on a menu basis, to support collaborative working between MOD and its partners. (e.g. Shared Workspaces, Programme Management, Record Management). To find out more about the DCP Service click on the DCP tab in the navigation menu to the left of this page.
Bulk Fuels Inventory Solution (BFIS)
BFIS is providing the Defence Fuels Group with a single, fully integrated system for managing all aspects of the procurement and supply of bulk fuels. To find out more about the BFIS Service click on the BFIS tab in the navigation menu to the left of this page.
Catalogues
The Catalogues service has been established to deliver electronic catalogues within the DECS infrastructure serving both the MOD and non-MOD communities. To find out more about the Catalogues Service click on the Catalogues tab in the navigation menu to the left of this page.
Electronic Business Capability (EBC)
Electronic Business Capability (EBC) automates fully the process of transmitting Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) demand requests by the Inventory Management System SS3 (predominantly for items within Land environment support), thereby transforming logistic support to the Front Line by delivering improved reliability and availability. Internet Access to Shared Services (IASS)
Internet Access to Shared Services (IASS) uses the DECS infrastructure to provide secure access for users on any internet connected device to MOD systems running within the internal MOD boundaries. To find out more about IASS, click on the IASS tab in the navigation menu to the left of this page.
Defence Travel
Defence Travel was launched in November 2007 and now has nearly 20,000 registered users; who are either self-bookers or part of a travel cell. Defence Travel provides access to low cost and premium air carriers, rail providers, overseas car hire and preferred hotel suppliers. Defence Travel has won several awards as an example of investment in technology that has save a good deal of public money.
