*This excludes disk space used for caching and temporary files by the Web Browser. Should PCs of lower specification be used then this is done at the risk of poor performance and the scope of providing assistance with performance issues will be limited. If the PC is being used to access DECS via the Internet then only PCs with a processor speed of 400 MHz or above will be supported as per the above table. The reason for requiring 400 MHz CPU is as a minimum specification required by the smart card software that must be used as from Release 8 of DECS for all Web based access via the Internet. If the PC is being used to access DECS via the Internet, a minimum of 10MB free hard disc space is required, in addition to the application storage requirements identified above, in order to support the required smart card reader.
