EBC enables direct communications between Stores System 3 (SS3) and the Trading Partners, via the SC EAI Service and Defence Electronic Commerce Service (DECS), by utilising an XML message format based on OAGIS 9.
Key Features of EBC include:
- The Forward Supply Chain (FSC) function comprises processes for transfer of materiel requests from Demands and Tasked Issues to the supplier, and allows amendments to these requests and/or cancellation (subject to conditions on request fulfilment progress)
- The Reverse Supply Chain (RSC) function comprises processes for Disposal of surplus CLS-supplied materiel, and processes for the return to supplier for Repair of CLS items.
