Defence Travel was launched in November 2007 and now has nearly 20,000 registered users; who are either self-bookers or part of a travel cell.  Defence Travel provides access to low cost and premium air carriers, rail providers, overseas car hire and preferred hotel suppliers. Defence Travel has won several awards as an example of an investment in technology that has saved a good deal of public money.
