Defence Travel is mandated for use by the Permanent Under Secretary and provides the MOD with a secure, efficient method of booking air, rail, overseas car hire and hotel travel.  The cost savings of using Defence Travel to the MOD are huge due to specifically negotiated MOD rates and reduced transaction fees.  All of these cost saving are monitored using a purpose built data warehouse.
