DCP is the MOD’s preferred corporate solution for enabling collaborative working between the MOD and the wider Defence Industry, for the following reasons:

Trusted and Secure: DCP operates on a secure and trusted infrastructure which is compliant to current requirements for the storage of data up to and including RESTRICTED. It has been granted full accreditation in accordance with the requirements of JSP 440 as well as being DII approved. They will also support global working, including working with European and US partners.

Accessibility: DCP is available over the RLI, GSI and Internet (via a PKI card in conjunction with the British Chamber of Commerce). Thus ensuring that all interested parties can work together.

Value for Money: Independent benchmarks have demonstrated that DCP offers the value for money when seeking a tool to enable collaborative working between MOD and its partners.

Speed: New DCP communities can be brought into operation quickly and efficiently. A typical implementation is normally undertaken in 4 - 6 weeks, although the process can be compressed for urgent requirements.

Operability: DCP is proven in operation on a number of MOD and industry sites.
