Babcock Engineering Services Ltd. (BES) is delighted to be playing a leading role in the development of DECS services by participating in the Interim Purchasing trial within the Sea environment of the DLO.

The trial provides BES with the opportunity to work closely with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and further enrich the relationship with the Warship Support Agency, built on many years of partnering with the former Ships Support Agency.

BES regards DECS as a key enabler of future business relationships with the MOD and, through the Heads of Agreement document signed in March this year, intends to utilise those DECS services which will create business opportunity while adding value to ongoing improvement initiatives.

BES, a division of Babcock International Group, provides engineering technology support services to the defence, marine and secure facilities sectors, including:

  • Comprehensive refit and modernisation capability to the UK MOD and Royal Navy’s warships and submarines.
  • Design and build across a wide range of marine based products.
  • The management of secure facilities providing property management services.
