User Registration for Services requiring Web Access

Each company requiring web access to DECS must register themselves and at least one user to receive logon credentials and a personal digital certificate. Certificates can only be issued to named individuals and are unique to each person. DECS recognises ChamberCard certificates. For more information regarding ChamberCard, visit http://www.ChamberCard.co.uk

Please note that, due to DECS stringent security requirements, it could take up to 15 days from the date we receive your application to being able to access DECS. In an effort to reduce this timeframe we will endeavour to register your nominated user(s) at the same time as your company if you provide us with details at the time of your registration as a company for a DECS service. To ensure the time taken to register you is minimised please ensure you complete the Security Contact Form, the Company Business Registration form and the User forms at the same time. All of these can be done in parallel and all of these forms are sent to you. The process is as follows for each user:

  • Complete a copy of the DECS user registration form. The form will be sent to you on initial registration and will be addressed to the contact person you have nominated in the Stage 1 registration form. Please note we can only receive this form back from the nominated contact and not from any other source. Email the completed form to decs.registration@Capgemini.com

  • DECS will process your registration and you will receive printed confirmation of the information you provided, together with your logon account details and instructions on how to contact your local ChamberCard certificate manager. You will need to make an appointment with the certificate manager. You will be required to bring your registration form to the appointment together with identity documentation. A list of acceptable documentation is described at http://www.ChamberCard.co.uk.

  • Please take time to review the identity documentation requirements since failure to present the correct documents will prevent your certificate from being issued. Photocopies of documentation will be taken. All originals will be returned.

  • You will have the option for the appointment to be held at your local chambers of commerce, or at your place of work. Alternatively, your company many nominate an individual to be trained as a certificate manager. Details of these options, together with the associated tariffs, are described at http://www.ChamberCard.co.uk.

  • Following presentation of satisfactory identity documentation, together with your payment, your ChamberCard reader and software will be posted to the user detailed on the user registration form. This will be followed shortly after by your card and PIN.
