Privacy Statement

Terms and ConditionsCapgemini respects privacy and seeks to protect your Personally Identifiable Information and deal with any such information received by us in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Awareness
This online Privacy Statement informs you about the information that Capgemini collects through the services available on our website, www.D2Btrade.com (the “Site”), how we use that information and how you can opt out of certain uses of information we may collect.  By using the services and accessing our Site, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in the Privacy Statement, as modified from time to time by us.  Please see our [Terms and Conditions] for a more detailed legal explanation of our general online policies. 

What we collect:
The information we collect on this Site generally falls into the following two categories: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information.

Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that can be used to identify you individually.  The Personally Identifiable Information we collect when you use our Site may include but is not limited to your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, employer, and job title.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. The Non-Personally Identifiable Information we collect when you visit our Site may include, a company name, company address, company contact details, parent company details and information on the MOD units you trade with as well as how you wish to trade electronically.

You are requested to enter this data on the Site to register for a DECS Value Added Service.

In order to tailor our subsequent communications to you and continuously improve our DECS services (including registration), we may also ask you to provide us with information regarding your perceived benefits of trading with the MOD via DECS.

Cookies

We may make use of “cookies on our Site.  A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier which we transfer to your hardrive through your web browser when you visit our Site.  It enables our own system to recognise you when you visit our Site again and improve our service to you.  Cookies may also be used to compile aggregate information about areas of our Site and make your use of it easier.  If you wish to reject our cookie, you can configure your browser to do so.  You may adjust your web browsers to either alert you of the use of cookies or refuse to accept cookies entirely.  Please be aware that if you elect not to accept cookies, the Site may not function properly or permit access.

Aggregate Information

We collect Aggregate Information about you and your use of our Site whenever you visit us online. For instance, we may collect various forms of “click stream” information such as entry and exit points for our Site (i.e., referring URLs or domains), site traffic statistics, page views, impressions, and operating system and browser type.  In addition, when users request pages on our Site, our servers automatically log their IP addresses.  An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web.  This Aggregate Information generally will not personally identify you or be correlated to you individually for external purposes. We may collect, compile, store, publish, promote, report, sell, or otherwise disclose or use any and all Aggregate Information, provided that, such information does not personally identify you.

How we use it
Capgemini uses your information to register your company and any nominated persons within your company in DECS to allow you to communicate electronically with the MOD and to better understand your needs and provide you with a better service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a transaction, to communicate back to you, and update you on any future services on DECS that may be of interest to you.  In addition, we may collect information about your use of our Site, such as pages visited on our Site. 

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information we think would be of particular interest. At a minimum, we will always give you the opportunity to opt out of receiving such direct marketing or market research contact.

We will not use the Personally Identifiable Information received for any purpose other than as set out in the Privacy Statement or as permitted by law without your consent.  

Who we share it with
Capgemini will not sell, rent, or lease or otherwise disclose your personally identifiable information to any third party. Unless we have your permission, we will only share the personal data you provide online with other Capgemini entities and/or business partners who are acting on our behalf for the uses described in the "How we use it" section above. Such Capgemini entities and/or business partners are governed by our privacy policies with respect to the use of this data and are bound by the appropriate confidentiality agreements.

Data collected online may also be combined with information you provide when you attend a roadshow or otherwise communicate with Capgemini.

Choice
Capgemini will not use or share the Personally Identifiable Information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first letting you know and offering you a choice. As previously stated, we will also provide you the opportunity to let us know if you do not wish to receive unsolicited direct marketing materials from us and we will use reasonable endeavors to honor such requests.

In the event that we ever want to share your information with third parties that are not acting on our behalf and who are not governed by our privacy policy, we will secure your consent prior to disclosing such information to such third parties.

Accuracy & Access
To help us keep your databases up to date, we would be grateful if you would let us know as soon as any of your contact details change or if you notice any inaccuracies in them.  In the event that you submit any Personally Identifiable Information to Capgemini, you can request to access the Personally Identifiable Information stored by Capgemini about you by emailing[DECS.ServiceDesk@Capgemini.co.uk] Capgemini may charge you up to the maximum amount permissible at any time for this.

Security
Capgemini is committed to ensuring the security of your Personally Identifiable Information. To maintain data accuracy, ensure the appropriate use of information, prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration and destruction of information collected on line, Capgemini have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures.  Personally Identifiable Information will only be stored by Capgemini for a reasonable amount of time.
